From Italo disco to Chicago house, from Africa to the Caribbean. Radio Tornado offers a musical journey that connects genres, eras and continents. Born out of friendship and a shared passion for music, the collective has grown over the years into a familiar name in the Dutch nightlife scene, hosting its own club nights in Rotterdam and Amsterdam and performing DJ sets both in the Netherlands and abroad. Its programming moves between disco, house and global sounds, with a strong focus on diversity in sound, audiences and context.

Reading Daniel Mol
Radio Tornado

Radio Tornado DJ's

From Italo classics to the gritty house of Omar S, from Kraftwerk’s electronic innovations to Donna Summer’s disco soul, and on to zouk grooves and Japanese city pop, Radio Tornado sets the tone for the night!

halfpastseven (Joshua Lutz)

halfpastseven moves effortlessly between genres and moods. His sets bring together house, hip-hop, ambient and experimental electronic music in a layered, fluid experience. Rather than representing a single style, he shares Radio Tornado’s open approach to rhythm, groove and musical influences. Provocative visuals seamlessly complement his live performance.

All Hans On Deck

Hans’s love of music began at the age of sixteen, working behind the counter of a record shop. Since then, he has built a collection without boundaries, in either genre or geography. As All Hans On Deck, he brings together disco and zouk, Arab funk and afrobeat, and everything in between.

FFF Soundsystem (Form Follows Frequency)

For the night’s sound, Radio Tornado teams up with Rotterdam-based Form Follows Frequency and its FFF soundsystem. The dual speaker setups deliver crystal-clear sound, letting you enjoy the music to the fullest!

Rejoin - Caribbean steeldrum entertainment

Rejoin is a Caribbean steel drum band bringing the sun-soaked atmosphere of the Caribbean straight to the Flowers Forever exhibition. Blending calypso, soca and reggae, they bring music to the space between the flowers that you can not only hear, but feel.

Workshop: Print Night Out

How do you translate Italo disco, Chicago house, afrobeat and chicha into visuals? During the Print Night Out workshop, you’ll create posters inspired by the energy, rhythms and visual language of the evening, from neon and geometric shapes to patterns and bold colours inspired by Flowers Forever.

About Flowers Forever

With more than 200 objects spanning art, design, fashion and science, Flowers Forever presents the first comprehensive cultural history of the flower in the Netherlands. The exhibition explores how flowers evolved from mythical and religious icons into status symbols, commodities and vital links in the global ecosystem. Across seven chapters, Flowers Forever reveals how deeply flowers are rooted in our culture as symbols of rituals, emotions and ideas, offering a fresh perspective on the role they play in our society.
