House Rules and Photography

General House Rules

• Wear your admission ticket, a wristband, visibly at all times.

• Bringing in and/or consuming food and drinks is not permitted.

• Pets are not permitted.

• We ask you not to make phone calls in the exhibition halls.

• Visitors aged 12 and over may visit the Kunsthal independently.

Bags, coats and umbrellas

We ask you to store handbags larger than 20 x 30 cm and backpacks in the lockers by the cloakroom.

Umbrellas can be placed in the umbrella stands by the cloakroom. Coats can be stored in the cloakroom or in a locker, unless you are wearing your coat. Carrying a coat over your arm while visiting the exhibitions is not permitted.

Photography

Photography is permitted in the Kunsthal under certain conditions. These vary per exhibition and depend on the copyright restrictions applying to the works. Below you can find out in which exhibitions photography is/is not permitted:

• At present, photography is permitted in all exhibition halls (unless otherwise indicated for specific works).

When photography is permitted, it is always without a tripod or flash. Please also be considerate of other visitors.

Wedding Photography

Wedding photography is only permitted in the Auditorium. The photographer and the wedding couple must purchase admission tickets. Please submit requests for photo shoots well in advance via communicatie@kunsthal.nl.

Architectural Photography

Photography of the Kunsthal’s architecture is permitted. Read more about the Kunsthal building here.

Professionals and Press

Professional photographers and camera crews wishing to film or photograph in and around the Kunsthal (for commercial or editorial purposes) must make an appointment in advance with the Communications Department via communicatie@kunsthal.nl or +31 (0)10 44 00 300.
