‘MaakMee', best translated as ‘Co-Create', is the Dutch interactive exhibition project of Kunsthal Rotterdam in collaboration with the BankGiro Lottery (Dutch cultural lottery). Everyone is given the unique opportunity to participate online in the realisation of an exhibition in the Kunsthal through the specially designed website www.kunsthalmaakmee.nl.

Participation

The project was launched with three exhibition proposals in spring 2013. The online visitors of  voted for an exhibition about 'shoes', after an exciting race with 'dinosaurs' and 'Vasarely'. The title 'S.H.O.E.S. Head over Heels' was set in close cooperation with the participants and many more questions are subject to the audience's influence in MaakMee; from the selection of works to the design of promotional material. Finally, all MaakMee participants are invited to the grand opening of the exhibition in February 2014, where they can see their contribution realised.
