Discover the exhibition Signac. Symphony of Colours after dark. On Friday 20 November, all exhibitions are open until 10 pm during Friday Night LIVE!

Immerse yourself in an impressive overview of Paul Signac (1863–1935), the master of Neo-Impressionism. Building on the work of Georges Seurat, Signac developed Pointillism towards the end of the nineteenth century: a painting technique in which dots and short brushstrokes come together to form a rhythmic symphony of colour. The exhibition offers an extensive introduction to Signac’s work, on a scale rarely seen in the Netherlands. Symphony of Colours also explores how his influence resonated throughout the work of his contemporaries.

Friday Night LIVE

Each edition puts a different Rotterdam-based partner in the driving seat. On Friday 20 November, Dansateliers takes over the Kunsthal. The exhibition Signac. Symphony of Colours serves as the inspiration for a vibrant programme. Expect an evening where dance, performance, film and music come together, inviting you not only to watch, but to get moving yourself.

It provides space for research, experimentation and exchange, while supporting choreographers in developing and further shaping their artistic practice.
