Signac. Symphony of Colours

Signac. Symphony of Colours offers a comprehensive overview of the work of Paul Signac (1863–1935), master of Neo-Impressionism. Building on the work of Georges Seurat, Signac developed a painting style at the end of the nineteenth century in which dots and short brushstrokes combine to form a rhythmic symphony of colour: Pointillism. Symphony of Colours brings together his oeuvre on a scale rarely seen in the Netherlands. The exhibition also demonstrates how Signac’s innovative approach to colour and light influenced the work of his contemporaries.
