July 19th the Dutch soccer club Feyenoord celebrates its hundredth anniversary. For this occasion the Kunsthal Rotterdam shows a photographic portrait of the hooligans of the club.
Last soccer season photographer Kees Spruijt followed this notorious group of Feyenoord supporters and documented their life outside the stadiums. The photo series gives a realistic inside in the subculture of hooliganism, in which brotherhood, revelry and social control are of great importance.
