CUTE
Part of ArtHopping | 8 July until 23 November 2025
In the summer of 2025, CUTE opens—a playful exhibition exploring the irresistible power of cuteness in contemporary culture. From the origins of kawaii and the rise of Hello Kitty to the impact of emojis, internet memes, plush toys, and adorable robot designs, CUTE delves into how this once seemingly innocent aesthetic has become a major cultural phenomenon. How has something so charming—big eyes, chubby baby cheeks, flowers, and sweets—gained such influence? The exhibition reveals how cuteness can serve as a powerful lens for addressing social and cultural themes.
