On 16 and 17 April the Kunsthal is organising The Weekend of Everything, with lectures, art talks, workshops, music, films and guided tours of The Museum of Everything.
Saturday there are various Art Talks with artists from The Museum of Everything. James Brett, the founder of the travelling Museum, will interview French, Romanian and Hungarian artists and gallery owners as well as artists from a number of different countries who live in the Netherlands.
Sunday is KunsthalFAMILYday with special activities for children and families.

Walk & talk with James Brett

ART TALKS
12.00 – 12.45 hrs.
James Brett, founder of The Museum of Everything, and Thomas Röske, psychiatrist and owner of the Prinzhorn collection, talk about the artworks in the exhibition (English).
14.00 - 14.45 hrs.
Art talk with Francis Marshalla, French Art Brut artist who puts together his family of plump dolls from materials he collects in the countryside and on refuse tips. André Robillard (who was discovered by Dubuffet) started to make ‘astronautical and weapon-like devices’ with material he found in the street around the clinic where he was temporarily staying. Both artists will hold conversations with James Brett and the public (English/French).
15.00 – 15.45 hrs.
James Brett talks with Ion Birlădeanu, who used to be homeless in Romania. His collages are satirical, cut-out pictograms of Hollywood stars from the 1970s and sexy, naïve Milanese girls, bottles and gigantic Romanian sausages; the horrors of Ceausescu. James Brett will talk with Ion and his gallery owner, as well as with the Hungarian Roma painter Omara (English).
