Richard Avedon (1923-2004) is a pioneer in fashion and portrait photography. Throughout his career, he often photographed his models multiple times at different moments in their lives, revealing the evolution of their character and the unique relationship between photographer and subject. In the exhibition, you'll explore the extensive oeuvre of the master photographer, gain insight into his working methods, and discover how Avedon’s distinctive portraits of world-renowned actors, dancers, artists, and literary figures continue to be influential in photography today.
