1 May, 2022 - 31 May, 2022

The month of May will be all about bees at the Kunsthal! Since the autumn of 2014, two bee populations have been living on the roof of the Kunsthal from where they are busy pollinating the surrounding flora in the Museumpark. During May: Month of Bees you can immerse yourself in the world of bees and join beekeepers from Odin for special roof tours to find out how extremely useful these small heroes are, and why they need some extra attention.

During the exhibition We Are Animals in 2021, Dide Vonk made a successful podcast series together with the Kunsthal about the relationship between humans and animals. Listen to the PETCAST episode about the bee and find out why there is a beehive on the roof of the Kunsthal. What does a beekeeper actually do? And how long has the relation between people and bees been going on?  Listen to this episode in your favourite podcast app or on Spotify!
