This summer, enjoy four Sundays of live music and DJs, food & drinks and design & art during Kunsthal LIVE ON SUNDAY. On Sunday, July 10, we collaborate with Instituto Buena Bista Curaçao and the program will feature the artists and Summerschool students of All you can Art. Immerse yourself in Caribbean vibes!
The program
The program on Sunday, July 10 kicks off with the grooves of singer and rapper Kay Slice and tunes by DJ AMIR, after which the infectious KUENTA will have you dancing to their unique blend of European dance and traditional Caribbean music. Also, the artists of All you can Art are ready to work with you in the open studio. Host of the day is Jennifer Munstslag.
KUENTA
The music of KUENTA immerses you in Caribbean atmospheres. KUENTA has transformed the old tambú music of Curaçao into the 21st century phenomenon Tambutronic. A non-stop carnival with lots of beats and tropical rhythms, on which you can't stand still.
Kay Slice
Singer and rapper Kay Slice charms you with a mix of soul, hip-hop, afrobeat and sounds from Ghana. His music has sharp lyrics and often pays tribute to his roots and musical traditions. With the mission to give his generation a rich impression of Africa, he celebrates the spiritual power of this music. Get inspired and listen along!
Host of the day Jennifer Muntslag
Jennifer makes music, presents, sings, acts and gives workshops. A host who blows across the festival grounds like a fresh wind, full of enthusiasm and humor.
DJ AMIR
AMIR (they/them) is a Caribbean Lebanese DJ. With everything from Latin to hip-hop, AMIR's music is meant to get the feet off the floor. AMIR is also the co-founder of @club.transmission, which provides a space for Queer joy & healing. Move those hips Sunday and dance along!
All you can Art
During LIVE ON SUNDAY you will work together with Instituto Buena Bista Curaçao and the artists of All you can Art. There is also a special All you can Art parade during the day. The parade will be musically accompanied by the tambuband Ojo E Rey den Tambu. And of course you can also bring out the artist in you in the open studio.
Workshop Camille All you can art
All you can Art artist Camille de Bruin will work with you on her art installation 'nest'. This is a collective project in which you work together to create an ever larger work of art from cushions and rugs. Come and build with us!
