31 October, 2024 12:00 - 1 November, 2024 16:00

Get creative this autumn break at the #IKBENKUNST (#IAMART) station, fully focused on the exhibition Thomas J Price. Matter of Place. Under the guidance of artist Nicky Angelina do Rosario, you’ll create your own artwork, inspired by her photo series depicting Rotterdam women with pride. You can also engage in discussions about your place in society through drawing and watching films. Don’t forget to take a selfie in the #IKBENKUNST mirror!

Thomas J Price is known for his powerful works that highlight themes such as identity, power, and representation in society. Many people in Rotterdam are familiar with his sculpture 'Moments Contained' in Stationsplein, which sparked much debate at the time about who deserves a place in public space. Reactions to this artwork inspired artist Nicky Angelina do Rosario to create the #IKBENKUNST movement as a positive counter voice.
