Enjoy live music, DJs, food, drink, fashion and art for six Sundays long during the free, open-air festival Kunsthal LIVE ON SUNDAY. On Sunday August 4, NAAZ will captivate the stage with her idiosyncratic sound but first, THE COOL QUEST will let you hear what they have in store. Make sure you’re there!
NAAZ, the Rotterdam-based singer, songwriter and producer with Kurdish roots, will present her own distinctive ‘quirkpop’ on this Sunday. Natural sounds drawn from her surroundings form the basis for her music, streamlined with pure, clear vocals. Her debut EP ‘Bits of Naaz’ was lauded with no less than two Edison Awards, three 3FM Megahits and performances at major festivals such as Lowlands. NAAZ is a resolute rising star, ready to conquer the world!

Before NAAZ weaves her magic, THE COOL QUEST will energize the Museumpark! ‘VIVID’, the title of their last album, couldn’t be more apt for this band from Zwolle. THE COOL QUEST draw their inspiration from the sound of 90s’ hiphop (Tribe Called Quest) as well as from contemporary bands (Kyteman, The Roots). With their infectious energy, this band has more than 500 shows, extensive airplay and multiple awards to their name. You’ll see why during Kunsthal LIVE ON SUNDAY!
Our host will be artiste Gerson Main, and DJ Shug La Sheedah will be on call with a selection of swing beat, hiphop, R&B and Caribbean music to get you dancing!

SPECIAL TOURS
Every Sunday at 14:15 hrs you can take a tour of the exhibition ‘Sweet Dreams’ as seen through the eyes of real Rotterdam influencers. During this special tour – in collaboration with the HipHopHuis – you can discover their passion for hip-hop and streetwear. This time it is not the work in the exhibition that is the centre of attention – although of course you can take a good look at it as well – but the personal story of the duo.
There’s more: the All you can Art artists will be waiting in their outdoor mobile workshop every Sunday to bring out the artist in you. And you can discover nature in the Museumpark with an urban biologist from the Natural History Museum.
KIDS
The festival warms up every Sunday from 12:00 hrs with a Silent Disco. And children and families can spend a whole afternoon having the time of their lives as Treasure Hunters in and around the Kunsthal building.
